Preamble

When beginning any new project it's important to define the context. Context drives purpose, and purpose is necessary for relevancy.

This is not a portfolio.

A portfolio implies a focus on selling or marketing. This causes one to focus less on exploring new ideas and more on selling pre-exiting ones. While this site may also act as a showcase of my work, this focus is tertiary.

Flexibility & Finesse.

Change is the only constant. It’s unrealistic — if not at least currently unachievable by me — to create one visual design that not only compliments but also accentuates different types of content.

Every aspect of this site is malleable. Visual aesthetics and functionality can change based on content while maintaining an underlying structure. Furthermore, to reduce barriers of management, there is no administrative panel.

Collaborative by Design

A website is not a vacuum. Everything is malleable. Any work done should not just rely on the work of others, but should also facilitate the creation of work by others.
